Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common stomach disorders, which involves a weakened lower esophageal sphincter (LES), also known as the watcher muscle between the stomach and the esophagus.

GERD results from incomplete closure of the LES or relaxation, so that the acid flows back into GERD, leading to swallowing the food back into the mouth, and creating gastric acids and bile, in the tubular structure. This causes Irritation, inflames the tissue, and creates ulcers in the wall of the esophagus leading to adverse effects.

There are various treatment options available for GERD, but these days, many people are looking towards more natural ways to recover from GERD. That is where biomagnetism comes in as a holistic method of healing.

Let’s learn more about GERD and how biomagnetism and other alternative treatments help in healing GERD

Symptoms of GERD

Heartburn is the most common symptom, which occurs as a burning feeling in the chest and may spread to the neck or jaw is the most prevalent sign among people with GERD. Heartburn mostly follows a meal, particularly a fatty one, which could be exacerbated by going to bed on an empty stomach. Other symptoms of GERD include:

  • Vomiting of ingested food or acidic regurgitations.
  • Difficulty swallowing (dysphagia)
  • Chest pain
  • Nausea
  • Bloating, gas, and belching
  • Feeling as if there is a lump in one’s throat.
  • Chronic cough or wheezing
  • Hoarseness or sore throat
  • Dental erosion or bad breath

In fact, some individuals with GERD will not have any symptoms, as others suffer from very serious and often frequent symptoms causing considerable impact on their general well-being.

Causes of GERD

The causes that lead to GERD are still unknown, However, a number of predisposing factors can be identified to prevent the disease. These include:

  • Hiatal hernia: this is characterized by the top part of the stomach growing out through the opening on the diaphragm, which is a muscle separating the abdomen from the chest. It can undermine the LES and enhance the probability of acidity reflux.
  • Obesity: when there is more weight than normal, this may lead to excessive pressure on the abdomen and the LES, thus allowing backflow of esophageal acidity.
  • Pregnancy: In pregnant women, thereflux is caused due to hormonal changes and the increased pressure in the abdominal during pregnancy.
  • Delayed gastric emptying: Diabetes, gastroparesis, and scleroderma will make the food stay longer in the stomach, thus increasing pressure on the abdomen and causing reflux.
  • Smoking: using tobacco causes injury in the esophageal mucosa, decreases salivation production, and affects the LES’s performance.
  • Alcohol: LES will lose its relaxing effects, and the amount of stomach acid increases, which can actuate reflux.
  • Medications: some drugs like aspirin may irritate the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) or the stomach acid making it either cause or worsen reflux.
  • Diet: some items like spicy, fatty, acidic, fried, chocolate, coffee, tea, mint, garlic, onion, and tomato cause stomach acid or irritate the esophagus leading to reflux.

Biomagnetism for GERD Relief

Alternative therapy, known as biomagnetism, uses a pair of magnets with different strengths to balance the acid-base or pH levels in the body and regain its natural balance by eliminating the pathogens that cause diseases in our body.

Its practitioners believe it is possible to cure GERD. For example, magnetizing the specific body areas such as distinct organs and systems within the body will be able to generate a magnetic field that balances the pH of acidity or alkalinity, which helps in reducing inflammation and pain and helps manage overall health and well-being.

Benefits of Biomagnetism for GERD

Some of the benefits of biomagnetism for GERD are:

  • The acidity or alkalinity is neutralized in these affected tissues to help reduce the inflammation and pains.
  • Pathogenic bacteria associated with GERD are eliminated through this process.
  • It helps restore equilibrium and enhances general wellness by focusing on the underlying reasons for GERD as well as minimizing the manifestations.
  • It enhances cell function and encourages blood flow during digestion and healing.
  • Unlike some of the common drugs, it has neither side effects nor contraindications.

However, at the same time it must be noted that Biomagnetism is not a replacement of GERD. Moreover, the fact must be taken into account that the right medical care and treatment are needed. Biomagnetic treatment can be incorporated along with other treatments to enhance comprehensive care and recover quickly with long-term health benefits.

Alternative Treatments for GERDAcupuncture:

This is an ancient Chinese practice where one inserts very thin needles at various points of the body with the main objective being to alleviate swelling and restore balanced flow. Acupuncture has been shown to help alleviate the symptoms of reflux disease in some studies, apparently through lowering the tone of the lower esophageal sphincter and the stomach acid.

Herbs and supplements:

Some natural products like chamomile, ginger, licorice root, turmeric, and apple cider vinegar will work as anti-inflammatory, antacid, and soothing properties to reduce GERD symptom severity. However, some herbs and supplements may cause risks by interfering with other drugs, so you need to consult your physician first.

Lifestyle changes:

Making slight changes in diet patterns as well as lifestyle can go a long way in curbing or avoiding GERD occurrences. Such dietary habits include taking small and regular meals, abstaining from spicy, fatty, acidic, or trigger foods, avoiding eating at night, quitting smoking, limiting alcohol, shedding extra weight, and elevating the head of the bed.

Relaxation:

Stress may exacerbate the symptoms of GERD because it affects the activity of the lower esophageal muscle sphincter and stomach secretion. Deep breathing, meditation, yoga, or even hypnotherapy are some relaxation techniques that people use in order to release tension and maintain tranquility in their minds. Another thing that promotes recovery in the esophagus is the quality of sleep that relaxation may enhance.

FAQs About Biomagnetism and GERDHow does magnetic therapy cure reflux disease?

What does it mean to study GERD with biomagnetism, or how can one use it for this purpose?

This is where biomagnetism comes in, as it seeks to normalize the body’s pH levels to make the body suitable for the development of a proper acid reflux condition. Additionally, it can eliminate most pathogens implicated as causes of GERD. Biomagnetism is said to correct the imbalance, which leads to the wellness of GERD and reduces its signs.

  • Non-invasive and painless: The comfort of patients is higher since swallowing tubes and X-rays, which are characteristic features of traditional tests like esophageal manometry, are not required by biomagnetism.
  • Objective data: The observations of biomagnetism will provide clear information on the quantitative values of muscle activity and acidosis instead of only reporting the related symptoms.
  • Potential for early diagnosis: The therapy helpful in identifying the causes of health issues at the early stage that helps for early treatments, and possibly stopping further risks.

Is biomagnetism effective and safe in the gastrobiliary reflux disease (GERD)?

Biomagnetism may not be scientifically proven to work for GERD yet however, it could help with handling the GERD symptoms before they escalate into more serious health conditions.

Biomagnetism does not pose any dangers but it should not be used for people with pacemakers, implants, insulin pumps, and pregnant women.

Let’s Read on the Short Note

GERD disease can be progressive in nature, therefore becoming a serious condition which may compromise one’s health. If you are observing any symptoms associated with GERD contact your health practitioner and also incorporate biomagnetism treatment for complete recover and fast healing from GERD.

It should however be noted that early treatment of GERD increases chances of preventing or reversing the damage to the GERD, and other associated abnormalities.

Dr. Garcia has been engaged in biomagnetism for over fourteen years as one of the key personalities of the discipline. His purpose in life is to make people aware of biomagnetism for which he holds seminars and training all over the USA.

Furthermore, he offers online training programs to make biomagnetism accessible to a wider audience, and hundreds of his students are actively practicing biomagnetism therapy.
