Acnes or pimples are common skin problems that affect both men and women of all ages. Acnes are caused by the overproduction of oil by the sebaceous glands, which leads to the formation of blackheads, whiteheads, and pimples. Acne can also be triggered by hormonal changes, stress, diet, and cosmetics.

Struggling with acne can be really frustrating. There are a lot of different products and treatments out there, but it can be tough to figure out what will work best for you. Here are a few tips to help get your acne under control.

  • Try a topical acne treatment– This kind of treatment comes in the form of a cream, gel, or lotion and is applied directly to the skin. There are many different types of topical acne treatments available, so you can find one that works best for your individual needs. Talk to your dermatologist about what might work best for you.
  • Clean your skin regularly- This is especially important if you’re using a topical treatment. Make sure to use a gentle cleanser and avoid scrubbing your skin too hard.
  • Avoid touching your face- Touching your skin can cause bacteria to spread and make your acne worse. When you touch your face, you’re also more likely to spread oils and dirt around, which can aggravate your acne.
  • Eat a healthy diet- Eating nutritious foods can help keep your skin healthy and may help improve your acne. Try to avoid processed foods and eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
  • Drink plenty of water- Staying hydrated is important for your overall health and can also help keep your skin healthy. Drinking water may help flush out toxins that can aggravate your acne.
  • Get enough sleep- Not getting enough sleep can make your acne worse. Try to get at least eight hours of sleep every night. Sleeping late can also cause your skin to become oily, which can lead to acne.
  • Try a face mask- There are a lot of different face masks out there that can help improve your acne. Face masks can help absorb oil, unclog pores, and remove dead skin cells. Choose one that is meant for oily skin and contains ingredients like clay or charcoal, which can help absorb excess oils.
  • Use a sunblock– Sun exposure can aggravate your acne and cause dark spots to form. Make sure to use a sunblock with SPF of 30 or higher to protect your skin from the sun’s harmful rays.
  • See a dermatologist- If your acne is severe or doesn’t improve with over-the-counter treatments, talk to your dermatologist. They may prescribe a stronger treatment or suggest other options. Look for an expert dermatologist in Sandy that specialize in acne care.

These are just a few tips to help get your acne under control. If you’re struggling with acne, don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor or dermatologist for help. There are a lot of different treatments available, and there is sure to be one that will work best for you.
